Terms of Service

Last updated: December 6, 2025

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Synara.events ("Synara", "we", "us", or "our"), including the website, developer console, API, SDKs, documentation, and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Synara.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding contract to use Synara. If you use Synara on behalf of a company, you represent that you have the authority to bind that company to these Terms.

2. The Service

Synara provides tools for developers to create and manage calendar events through a unified API, including the Synara Dashboard, ACE/JSCalendar event packaging, ICS fallback generation, webhooks, and related features.

We do not provide a calendar inbox, calendar client, or email hosting service. We simply deliver developer-triggered event data and messages to recipients based on your instructions.

3. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your account and API keys secure
  • Ensuring that events you create or send comply with applicable laws (including anti-spam laws)
  • Ensuring you have permission to email or notify recipients
  • Ensuring your use of ICS, ACE, or webhooks does not violate any service provider's terms

You must not:

  • Attempt to bypass rate limits or security controls
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Upload or send harmful, abusive, defamatory, or unlawful content
  • Use Synara to send unsolicited or misleading messaging

We can suspend or terminate your account if we believe your use violates these Terms.

4. API Keys and Projects

You must keep your API key secret. Each project has its own key and isolated behaviour. You are responsible for any activity performed using your keys.

If you believe a key is compromised, you must rotate or revoke it immediately in the Dashboard.

5. Event Data and Deliverability

Synara attempts to normalize event data across vendors. We provide ICS fallback support, ACE event packaging, and webhook delivery.

However:

  • We cannot guarantee that all calendar clients will interpret event data consistently
  • We cannot guarantee email delivery, deliverability to the inbox, or client-specific RSVP flows
  • We are not liable for failures caused by third-party calendar or email providers

Synara is an integration layer — not a guaranteed delivery service.

6. Data Processing and Storage

Synara stores:

  • Account information
  • Event metadata
  • Webhook logs
  • Project settings
  • Audit logs

We do not store attendee private notes, sensitive personal data, or long-term message content beyond what is required for the service to function.

Developers are responsible for their own end-user data compliance.

7. Billing and Payment

If you use a paid plan:

  • Fees are billed in advance
  • Subscription charges are non-refundable
  • You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing cycle
  • Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination

8. Intellectual Property

Synara, ACE documentation, logos, branding, dashboard design, API structure, and website content remain our property.

You retain all rights to your own code, event data, and content sent through the platform.

9. Acceptable Use

You must not use Synara to:

  • Send spam or bulk unsolicited event invites
  • Send harmful code, malware, tracking payloads, or deceptive links
  • Violate privacy laws or rights of others
  • Build competing datasets using scraping, reverse-engineering, or automated extraction

We may rate limit, restrict, or suspend your access if necessary to protect the service.

10. Availability and Disclaimer

Synara is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime or flawless operation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim:

  • all warranties
  • all liability for loss of data, revenue, or business
  • all liability arising from third-party calendar behaviours

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months
  • We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages

This includes issues caused by Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Calendar, email providers, or any external dependency.

12. Termination

You may stop using Synara at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • You abuse or harm the platform
  • We believe your use creates risk for us or our users

Termination does not remove obligations already incurred (e.g., unpaid fees).

13. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are significant, we will notify you via the Dashboard or email. Continued use of Synara means you accept the updated Terms.
